Hal has worked for many years as a publicist and pop culture historian in the entertainment industry and beyond. Having a diverse group of clients Hal has created PR for many icons of the entertainment and sports fields. Clients have included: Olympic Track Stars Nick Symmonds, Shannon Rowbury, Kara Goucher and music luminaries: Eric Burdon, Nancy Sinatra, Jackie DeShannon, and most recently Tower of Power approaching their 50th Anniversary in 2018. Hal has also contributed as a writer to many of the major entertainment magazines including The Enquirer, Star, Globe, In Touch Weekly and for over 20 years a contributor to Liz Smith's famed New York celebrity column. Also in 2017 Hal began doing PR for Stephen Wise Temple in Bel Air and is coordinating their big "Summer of Love" concert in Beverly Hills this August 17th and other events that tie in pop culture with Judaism. A lifelong Californian, Hal and wife Brigitte, an entertainment lawyer along with two daughters make their home in Los Angeles not far from Hal's childhood home in Encino, where the family house is a fixture on Morrison Street. Hal still owns three original 1960's Schwinn Sting Ray bikes including one in lime green. Hal wrote a book on his favorite year "1966! The Coolest Year in Pop Culture History" published in 2003. Hal's favorite color is orange (same as his mentor Frank Sinatra) and his favorite TV shows are Batman,The Green Hornet T.H.E Cat and Honey West. '60s childhood faves include: Frosted Shakes by Borden, Clanky chocolate syrup in spaceman bottle, Mr. Bubble, Cactus Cooler and the 1969 New York Jets.
